Cosmetic surgery demand in South Korea rose sharply in 2021.
A total of $10.7 billion was spent on the industry in South Korea last year. This represents an increase of nine percent from 2020. The country’s largest cosmetic surgery website, Gangnam Unni, projects that South Koreans will spend approximately $11.8 billion on cosmetic surgery this year.
Chija’s age is 21. She is a student at a university. Her nose was operated on in December.
The majority of Chija’s classes were taken online in 2020. It was important for her to be able to rest at home and to cover her face in public.
When she prepared for the operation that cost about $4,000, she said, “I always wanted a nose job…but before people start taking off masks when vaccines become available in 2021, I thought now would be the best time to get one.”
Korean plastic surgery is seeing an increase in such operations because of that thinking. Its user base grew by 63 percent last year to 2.6 million, as reported by Gangnam Unni data.
Despite this, foreign patients could not benefit from cosmetic services due to the pandemic. Because of that, the industry is now attempting to market its services at a wider range of target audiences.
Increasing the popularity or recognition of something means promoting it.
Patients seek cosmetic surgery for all parts of the face. Those interested in surgery on easy-to-hide parts of the face, such as the lips and nose, may wish to do so. Other people prefer to have a procedure on areas where face coverings cannot be worn.
The number of inquiries regarding eyes, eyebrows, nose bridges, foreheads, and other visible parts of the face, particularly the eyes, can be increased.
Principles of plastic surgery
Reconstructive surgery for soft tissues is based on the principle of using healthy tissue that has similar characteristics to the damaged tissue. As with reconstructive plastic surgery, respect for tissue physiology and mechanics is essential. In order to maximize the results of surgery, delicate handling of tissues with instruments, judicious elevation to minimize vascular disruption, and precise alignment of planes are all critical elements of good technique.
You Should Think About Your Health
During your consultation with your prospective physician, you will discuss how well you are doing and how you can maintain that level of health.
To start with, you will need to be healthy before surgery. Patients with smoking addictions, heavy drinking habits, obesity, blood disorders, heart disease, or depression are likely to suffer poor outcomes from surgery, and you should ask your surgeon to determine whether you qualify for surgery.
The reputation of the doctor is also important to consider. In general, do their patients recover quickly without any complications, and do they do well in terms of recovery?
Last but not least, what is the average time it takes to recover from a surgery? The health status of you and the procedure in question are both important variables. You should plan accordingly.
