Hello, and welcome to another great article on oily pens for beginners. Since launching these wonderful articles, our goal has been to make sure that you buy the essentials for starting a huge hobby of oil painting, without spending too much money on it. Oil painting is not necessarily an expensive hobby.
We talked about the different shapes and materials of pens to start your hobby and oil painting in previous articles. Aside from the types of cleaners, there are many types we don’t know about. That’s right- this is not about you as a beginner. Most small specialty stores will convince you that you need to buy a variety of pens, but in reality, you often do not.
For starters, if you are a fully experienced artist, your clear choice should not be a big deal. For example, pens are enlarged by numbers based on the width of the bushes. This width is measured in wool. Feral is a metal shirt that is attached to the hair. For most oil painting projects, the best choice is two rounds, maybe two or three pens.
They can be flat or shiny and usually four to eight sizes. Not every neat style and size should be in your collection. Keep in mind that when you go to the store for oil painting accessories, the job of the sales associate is to make sure that you get more money from the store than you need.
Oil painting pens come in a variety of sizes and shapes and can sometimes overwhelm beginners. This article will give you an overview of the different oil paint pens and pens to invest in.

Oil painting pens are basically of two different textures and their classification is hard and soft. Hard pens are commonly called “clean pens” and are very durable. Hard pens are made of pig hair and are strong and sturdy. They have a lot of paint and can do a great job of oil painting. I personally like to work with a clean pen because I am rough and straight.
Soft oil paints are made from the soft hairs of acrylic paint pens, cables, buckwheat or mongoose. Soft pens usually soften your image and are often used for finishing or detail work. Sable pens are usually the most expensive, but there are synthetic nylon pens that replace the cable very well. They are stronger and cheaper than cables.
Clear images
There are five commonly used types of cleaning and each of them should have its own function. I like to paint flats of different sizes, light and fluffy, and occasionally use other shapes. That’s the decent thing to do, and it should end there.
Apartments
The flat oil paint pen has a wide square with medium and long hair. Smooth pen can usually hold a lot of spring and a lot of paint. You can use this pen for a wide pen, or you can rotate the pen around its edges to create clear lines. Flat pens are great for the next stage of painting when building blocks in large areas.
Bright
Shiny oily straps look like a flat pen, but the hair is short. They are best used for short control beats. They do not paint like a flat pen.
Filbert
The filbert also looks like a flat pen, with only the edges of the pen rounded. Filbert’s hair is of medium length. This round shape gives you more control and will shine later. Flibert is great for engagement and symbolic work.
Circles
Round oil paint pen have round or pointed edges. They retain a lot of paint and are perfect for making thin or thick lines. Apply this pen on dots or color blocks. Round pens are also good for washing, filling, and finishing work. They are not suitable for making solid straight edges.
