Jennifer Lopez was born on July 24, 1969, in the New York City borough of the Bronx.
Jennifer Lopez was the daughter of a Puerto Rican father and a mother born in Colombia.
Jennifer Lopez had a very easy childhood in Puerto Rico. Her father was a drug dealer who earned a living by distributing marijuana for local dealers. When Jennifer was six years old, her family moved to California where her father became an entrepreneur selling electronics, gambling machines and appliances for a chain of supermarkets.
Jennifer Lopez has several siblings, among them Alex Lopez who later changed his name to Alex Rodriguez.
Jennifer Lopez has a cousin called Fabiola who is famous singer known as Ivana Miličević who she is good friends with.
Early Career
Rising to fame in 1995, Jennifer was spotted by an agent when she landed a part in Martin Lawrence’s second film, New Jack City.
This led to a role in Selena, a biopic about singer Selena Quintanilla-Perez.
Jennifer also played the lead in the 1995 comedy Wet Hot American Summer alongside Bruce Willis and Paul Rudd.
