Is it necessary to insulate the walls in the house?
The answer to this question will be positive if the house is built of timber, brick, and monolithic blocks or has a frame-panel construction. The building requires additional insulation in all these cases since heat loss through walls made from these traditional materials sometimes reaches 35%. Insulating walls keep the house warm at sub-zero temperatures outside and create comfortable conditions in hot weather – a properly insulated home is always excellent in the summer.
The air in such a room is always slightly humid, and when it hits a cold wall, it cools down and turns into water droplets. Because of this, mold and mildew quickly develop on the walls, worsening the room’s appearance and, destroying the walls and harming human health, causing allergies or asthma attacks.
However, not all materials are equally suitable for insulation.
Insulation of house walls from the inside
In most cases, insulation of walls from the inside is carry out in cases where it is impossible to insulate external walls for some reason (for example, in apartments or multi-story buildings).
From the point of view of experts, this method has disadvantages and advantages. The disadvantages are:
A reduction in the area of the room after insulation.

But you can insulate walls from the inside at any time of the year, and during the work, you can do without the construction of high scaffolding.
Ecowool and mineral wool
Ecowool is a material obtained from natural cellulose by recycling ordinary paper waste. It is impregnated with special antiseptics and compounds that make it non-flammable during the production process. Finished eco wool is a light, loose material with good heat and sound insulation properties.
Insulating a walls, eco wool is blown in using a particular machine, and you can blow in both dry and wet material – this does not affect the quality of insulation. Ecowool perfectly fills all cavities, and using the blowing method, you can make repairs without dismantling the walls.

In addition, it has high vapor permeability, which means condensation will form intensively on the walls.
Styrofoam
this material is not afraid of moisture and is almost impenetrable to steam. However, you should not use polystyrene foam for insulation in wooden houses; it will deprive the tree of the ability to “breathe” and the house’s inhabitants – a favorable microclimate. In addition, wooden walls covered with foam plastic are always damp, and this causes the appearance of fungus and mold. But for insulating brick or block walls or filling frame structures, foam plastic is quite acceptable.
Polystyrene foam can belong to different flammability groups – from G1 to G4. For residential buildings, we recommend material of group G1, which does not support combustion on its own.
Penoizol
It is a type of modern insulation based on urea foam plastics. Its peculiarity is its capillary structure; the material can “breathe,” effectively removing moisture and preventing condensation formation. Due to this, it fills all cavities and provides excellent thermal insulation. As for fire safety, the material belongs to group G2; it begins to charge at a temperature of 200°C, while the insulation does not support combustion. The main disadvantages are the cost of the material and the fact that it is impossible to insulate walls without equipment.

Foam glass
Inorganic insulation with a porous structure. The result is a green, cream, or black material with an 80 to 95% porosity. The color of foam glass depends on the source raw material. Available in the form of slabs, granules, or shaped products.
Foam glass is very light, with high compressive strength and low thermal conductivity, surpassing even wood in this indicator. Foam glass perfectly absorbs sound, does not allow moisture to pass through, and does not interact with aggressive environments.
Foam glass mats do not change shape during their entire service life and do not deform under load. In addition, foam glass does not attract rodents, and mold and mildew do not form on it.
