Francesca’s Element is a wedding flower preservation company located in Dallas, Texas that works with brides from all over the United States. Its team of artists preserves flowers using resin and creates so many unique keepsakes from decorative displays to functional art as well.
From the beginning, FE makes sure that every potential client is informed and its booked clients are with them every step of the way throughout their preservation process.
FE provides shipping and care instructions for your precious flowers so that they arrive at the studio in Dallas in optimal shape. From there, the team will notify you upon their arrival, assess your flowers and begin taking the bouquet apart to preserve them in silica gel, where they will remain for the next 4-8 weeks. This is the most important stage of the process because if a flower is not dried properly, it can become misshapen, lose color, or rot inside the resin.
When your flowers are completely dry, the team at FE will notify you of their condition and repair any flowers that fell apart. They also have their own stock of flowers that you are able to replace any damaged flowers with completely free of charge.
The next step is to receive your design proposals. On FE’s purchase agreement, the team has you select the layouts you want to see your flowers displayed in. You can even choose an artist’s choice to let the artist go wild! You have full approval of your layout because FE believes that because these pieces are going to last forever, you have to love the design and give approval before it moves on to the next stage.
FE can have anywhere between 300-500 orders on its hands at any given time so this is where the real waiting game begins. FE’s total turnaround time can take up to eight months depending on the season so after your design is approved, your flowers will be moved to a queue line to await the resin process.
Once it’s finally your flower’s turn to be placed in resin, the team will send you an update with the final look before any resin is poured. Flowers can shift a bit from the original design proposal as they can fit differently once in the mold or even shift overnight while the resin is curing, but the artists want you to see your flowers to give you peace of mind and to show that your order is nearing the finish line.
After a few days, to a week and a half, your order should be near complete. When they are taken out of their molds, your pieces will be taken to have the finishing touches done like sanding or polishing any blemishes away. When your order is fully complete, you will get one last notification to confirm shipping addresses and also to see how all of your pieces turned out!
What an exciting experience to be able to preserve such wonderful and treasured memories from an important day. If you have any questions about the process or want to book with Francesca’s Element, reach out to their customer service team at francescas.element@gmail.com.
