The new D5300 from KJB is an updated diasonic PCM phone recorder. Backed by its premier security industry supplier of superior customer service, the acclaimed Diasonic Voice Recorder once again returns for another year. The new recorder is compatible with many line-of-sight wearable wireless communication devices, including:
With high definition recording at recording speed, the D5300 is perfect for many applications. Ideal for line traffic, the D 53000 will record to DVD-R format. The speed control dial option allows you to use just one button to speed up and slow down the recording. This allows you to adjust speed without losing volume. The large LCD display clearly displays recording quality, while the intuitive controls allow the user to easily select recordings.
The 2GB internal memory (expandable to 3GB) is more than sufficient to handle the most demanding needs of any professional. Adding to this great capabilities is the ability to add additional cards via a removable card reader. One card can be recorded while another can go unused. In addition to the two-car unit, the recorder also makes a great desktop unit. The two-car model can be connected to multiple recording sources with ease. The two-car model also records directly to DVD.
The ability to use the unit while the power is on, automatically switching to the recording mode when the power is turned off, is just one of the many features. The unit also features a two-way voice dialing option so that you can speak to the person sitting in front of you. You have the ability to answer questions directly and transfer call details to a hand held device for transcription purposes. The system comes with a large, easy to read display screen that makes it easy to identify stored recordings. the recorder also features a user friendly menu system and the ability to preview stored recordings.

Additional recording modes available with the Diasonic Voice Recorder include voice memo, audio log, transcription, background noise, and blank tape. Each of these recording modes has its own set of functions that you can use to create your own unique audio recordings. For instance, with the Audio Log you can record your own voice into the recorder and then play it back later using an MP3 player of your choice. Another great feature of this recorder is the ability to play the recorded material back as background noise during your everyday activities such as working, sleeping, and driving.
The built in stereo earphones are also very useful and make for a much more comfortable listening experience. The headphones included with the Diasonic Voice Recorder are very thin and unobtrusive which gives the listener the impression that they are doing nothing. The earphones themselves have a pair of tiny microphones that you can use to pick up a specific sound from the environment around you. In the case of a phone call, this will allow you to record the person’s voice and then use their normal telephone recording connector to connect the call to your computer. This is one of the many features that makes the Diasonic Voice Recorder stand out from the crowd.
The last thing that I found to be incredibly useful was the manual that came with the unit. Although there is no printed manual included with the Diasonic Voice Recorder, I still felt that it was extremely helpful and would definitely go to all of the trouble of downloading the operating manual from the Internet before using the digital recorder. The manual includes all of the important safety and user information that you need to know about the unit including battery life, basic usage, and a complete technical explanation of the product which includes its power requirements, operation, along with troubleshooting tips.
All in all, I find that the Diasonic Voice Recorder is a great little all in one digital recorder that comes with an impressive operating system, tons of pre loaded sounds, and lots of unique features that set it apart from its competitors. The only real disadvantage to me as a buyer is the lack of any type of manual other than the online user guide which does not do anything for me as a consumer. Other than that, this is an incredible little device that will last for years. It takes some time to get used to but the actual functionality of the recorder is really impressive. Also, for the price, you definitely get your moneys worth. You get plenty of features and all at an extremely reasonable price.
