All seven models are made by the same company called Breville, an Australian manufacturer that has been on the market since 1932. All are very similar, with the exception of the last model on the list, the die-cast citrus press. This is very different from the others, so we will cover this very quickly.
The citrus juice is a manual juicer that only extracts citrus juice. Made from cast metal to withstand the acidity of many citrus fruits including grapefruit, orange, and lemon. There’s also a secondary press that requires less strength and makes squeezing citrus juice easier! They are all centrifugal juicers (as opposed to ruminant, two wheeled, single wheel and auger juicers). It makes more sense to upgrade to the $199 icon. For $299, the Elite and Titan slicing blades go into the juice realm. This option is for those who like to drink a lot of juice. Compact or Icon is suitable for most families.
How about the other two juicers?
Two plate juicer is a combination of juicer and blender, juicer and blender. Priced at $399, the Dual Disc features a durable die-cast body, 1200W motor, 5 rotational speeds and a titanium slicing disc. $499 Juice and Blend, released August 2010. The difference with the dual drive is that there are two separate top links that connect to the motor mount. One is a juicer and the other is a blender. They are basically two separate machines that share a common motor base. Juice and Blend also has 5 speed and titanium cutting discs. These two are for true juice and smoothie aficionados or chefs looking for custard in the kitchen!
