There are many reasons why I consider one of the top job search sites as one of my top job boards. The first is the simple fact that they have become very efficient in their services. Every day, the site offers up new jobs to my valued visitors.
Pros. Top Job is a great job board for both employers and job seekers. The nice thing about Top Job is how each day, with just a little effort, I, as a member of the site, are challenged with new projects and shifts I, in conjunction with the forum, learn how to better resolve issues that simply don’t have an easy answer yet. Of course, this is all Top Job does; it just happens to be a fantastic site to use when searching for a new job. When I say “a little effort,” I mean that all you really have to do is register for membership, make a small initial deposit, and you’re registered with Top Job.
Cons. Top Job isn’t the only job search sites out there; quite the opposite, actually. There are other popular sites offering the same (or similar) services to the registered members of Top Job. While I think it’s important to have multiple options, I also believe the best job search sites will remain in operation for long periods of time. As such, I don’t feel that Top Job will be able to last much longer.
Why? I suspect it has something to do with the age of the websites. With all of today’s technological advances, modern day job search engines are nigh on impossible to beat. Sure, there are some excellent websites that focus exclusively on specific industries. However, there are also plenty of websites out there that offer work from home opportunities for just about every imaginable industry and skill level.
So what makes these job search engines so appealing? Well, for one thing, they are mostly free. While it may be true that some sites do charge a fee, usually $40 or so, the majority of them are absolutely free. This is where most of my complaints about Top Job comes from… the fact that it charges a fee to join. If you don’t want to pay a fee, don’t go to their website.
What is the point of joining all of those job search engines if you are not going to use them? Even the largest and most popular ones have ads and listings that are very hard to find by simply browsing their pages. I have friends that work for job sites, and they will never even look at an individual ad posted on a popular site. It’s just not a good deal.
However, even though they can’t promise jobs, I have found that most of the job boards out there are pretty good at what they do. The biggest problem that I have had with Top Job Board, and with many of the general job boards out there is that they are filled with nothing but advertisements for generic, cookie cutter positions. This means that it is very hard for job seekers to really know what they want to do with their careers when looking through hundreds of job listing and classified ads. And the worst part is, most of these generic ads don’t look real.
However, Job Search Engine Pro works great for finding jobs advertised at Top Job Board and all of the other general job boards out there. You can save a bunch of time by doing an advanced search instead of just going by the phone book. And best of all, you can get results almost immediately. No waiting around for weeks.
