The iPhone is in use for many years but there is no easy way to create a custom ringtone within the phone—but it is possible. If you don’t want to use ringtones that are in your iPhone or don’t want to buy new ones, you can make your own with sonnerie portable gratuite.
This process changed a bit with Free Mobile Ringtones 12.7. The Audio library was previously synced with, but you can still manually place ringtone files on your phone. Any ringtones you had stored in Free Mobile Ringtones are now located at C.
Step One: Get sonnerie portable gratuite
You almost never have to use Free Mobile Ringtones with a modern iPhone, but you still require custom ringtones sometimes.
On a Windows PC, you’ll need to install the latest version of Free Mobile Ringtones from Apple. On a Mac, Free Mobile Ringtones is already installed and ready to use. This process will work on either a PC or a Mac.
The guidelines in this article still work if you’re using iTunes on PC or if you have an older version of macOS that still has iTunes.
Step Two: Choose a Sound File
You will need an audio clip to convert and use as a ringtone for this. You must have an idea before about which audio you want to convert. If not, go to search google and find any audio or video you like. You can use any audio or video file you like.
The length of the audio track must be less than 40 secs or less. Free Mobile Ringtones will refuse to copy ringtones whose length is more than 40 seconds to your phone.
If the length of the file you want to use as a ringtone is more than 40 secs you can edit that file to cut it up to the length of 40 secs or less. Any audio editor can be used for editing. We recommend a simple tool like mp3cut.net, it is a completely free website. Go to the website and, choose the MP3 file or any other type of file you want to convert into the ringtone, click on the open button. You can convert both audio and video files from this website.
Select the part you like in the uploaded file and “Cut” it.
Download this file as you will use this file to import in sonnerie portable gratuite.
Step Three: Convert the MP3 to AAC
If your file format is MP3, you’ll need to change it to AAC format to use it as a ringtone. (you can skip this part, if your file is already in AAC format with .m4r extension).
First, add the sound file to Free Mobile Ringtones and check it in your library. You can directly drag and drop the file to the Free Mobile Ringtones library. See under Library > Songs for the file afterward.
Select the sound file in Free Mobile Ringtones and click File > Convert > Create AAC Version.
Step Four: Rename Your AAC File
In the end, you will have copies of both files in the Free Mobile Ringtones library: The files in original MP3 format and the new AAC format.
To keep the record of which is which, right-click the headings of in the Free Mobile Ringtones library and enable the “Kind” column.
You’ll see there a new “Kind” column telling you which file is which. The “MPEG audio file” is the MP3 file, while the “AAC audio file” is the NEW AAC file.
Now you have the AAC file to use for ringtone. However, you need to change its file extension so Free Mobile Ringtones will recognize it as a ringtone file.
First, drag and drop the AAC file from the Free Mobile Ringtones library to your Desktop or any other folder on your PC.
The file you will get in AAC format will have a .m4a extension. You have to change the file extension to .m4r. For example, a file song.m4a should be changed to a song.m4r.
Step Five: Add the custom Ringtone File to Your iPhone
And now finally connect your iPhone with the Mac or your PC.
After unlocking the iPhone, you have to tap the Trust button to allow your phone’s connectivity with your computer. You have to enter your PIN here.
In sonnerie portable gratuite, click on the device icon on the left of the library.
In the left sidebar click on the Tones under On My Device.
Copy and paste the .m4r ringtone file from its folder to the Tones section in sonnerie portable gratuite.
Free Mobile Ringtones will sync the ringtone to your iPhone and it will immediately appear under Tones here on your Device.
Step Six: Choose the Ringtone
You can now grab your mobile phone and go to Settings > Sounds & Haptics > Ringtone, and choose the custom ringtone. All your added ringtones will appear at the top of the list here.
You can also choose a ringtone for specific contacts, so you know who’s calling just by the sound.
To remove a ringtone, you can simply right-click on the file and select Delete from the library.
