There’s an assumption that Business Plan have a purpose. They’re written for venture capitalists to determine whether the business is going to be viable. But as my class went on to discover, it’s a lot more helpful to people who need to invest in a company for their livelihood. It helps them determine whether they want to invest, how much they want to invest, whether they want to be a limited partner or an investor, or whether they want to buy the business outright. On the first day of class, someone asked “how do I write a business plan?” A business plan has goals, and revenue.

She had a six-month backlog of shows and said she couldn’t do it. I asked her, “Well, what’s your business plan? What’s your marketing plan?
the business I know, I know how to do my website. What do I do with the money? How do I know when I’m profitable?”
The course started with a two-day class, but it’s been so popular that we’re just going today
