I have always dreamed about becoming a TV anchor and presenting the news to people, but as I know, the TV anchor should have a very beautiful face with asymmetric features. As my family and friends told me, I have a beautiful face, but what really bothered me was my nose.
I never liked my nose because it is too big, and when you look at my face from the right or left side, you will notice a small bump in the middle of my nose. When I was 16 years old, I wanted to get rid of this bump, and I was nagging that I want to undergo a rhinoplasty, but my mom told me that no doctor will perform this surgery on a teenage girl. So I had to wait till I am 18 to do it.
I thought a lot about my new nose and how it will look, and decided to undergo the surgery before going to university because I wanted to do journalism and become a TV anchor. So in summer, the year I finished high school and graduated, I told my mom that I want to undergo the surgery.
I am very sure that my mom agreed because she is tired of listening to me nagging all the time about my nose, but I am okay with that! So she called Novomed centers, a medical center in Dubai, which has the best plastic surgeons in Dubai, and she booked an appointment for a consultation with the specialist.
During the consultation, the doctor asked me about my age, what is bothering me, why I want to undergo the rhinoplasty, and what are my expectations. I told him what I was planning for and that my nose won’t look beautiful on camera, so I wanted to fix it. He checked my nose, then asked me to do an X-ray so he can diagnose the case better. I did the X-ray and get back to him. He checked the screening and told me that it is an easy operation, and he will do the close rhinoplasty in Dubai Clinic, which is done inside the nose, so it won’t leave any scars.
I was very happy that he can perform the surgery, and we set a date for the operation, but he asked me first to do some medical tests just to make sure that I am healthy enough to do the surgery. So I did the tests, and he checked them and assured me that everything is okay!
On the surgery day, I went to Novomed with my mom, the doctor and his team were waiting for me, they assisted me to get ready for the surgery, and finally, I got my nose done!
After the recovery period, I started noticing the change in my nose, but the doctor told me that the final results will appear gradually, while the swelling is fading away. I was very happy, and I registered in the media faculty now I am studying journalism to make my other dream come true, after achieving my dream of having a beautifully shaped nose.
