Warwickshire: an administrative and historical county in central England, in the Midlands region. As an administrative and geographic unit, the county’s history dates back to the 10th century, with the historic county town of Warwick (seat) located roughly in the middle.
The present administrative county of Warwickshire covers an area smaller and somewhat different from the historic county, and consists of a largely rural landscape of woods, fields and pastures, with a few large towns.
