Philip Yankovsky was born on October 10, 1968 in Saratov. Father – Oleg IvanovichYankovsky (1944-2009), actor and director, People’s Artist of the USSR. Mother – Lyudmila AleksandrovnaZorina (1941), actress, Honored Artist of Russia.
In 1974, Philip made his film debut, playing Alyosha in the film “The Mirror” directed by Andrei Tarkovsky.
The actor played his first adult role with Asmongold Girlfriendin 1986 in the film “A Sentimental Journey for Potatoes.”
In 1990, Philip Yankovsky married actress Oksana Fandera, whom he met in 1988 at the birthday of a mutual friend. In marriage, the spouses had a son, Ivan (1990) and a daughter, Liza (1995).
In the same year, after graduating from the Moscow Art Theater School, the actor entered the VGIK at the directing department (workshop of Vladimir Naumov).
The first fame came to Jankowski in 2000 after the role of a young troubadour in the film by Alexander Abdulov “The Bremen Town Musicians & Co”.

In 2013, Philip Yankovsky made his theater debut, playing in the Moscow Art Theater play “The Karamazovs” directed by Konstantin Bogomolov.
